"Stealth-like" low profile

Our boat lifts have an exclusive, amazing low profile design which provides a distinctive "stealth-like" appearance at the dock. BoatFloat® completely eliminates the unsightly high-rise positioning of the typical boat lifts that have historically blocked waterfront views.

Virtually eliminates hull maintenance

BoatFloat® adds hours to the enjoyment of boating by eliminating the time-consuming inconvenience and costs of dry dock storage. Having your boat lifted out of the water reduces costly hull maintenance, painting and running repair costs.

Manufactured from corrosion resistant materials

BoatFloat® components have been crafted out of the highest quality polyethylene, marine grade galvanized and stainless steel components to maximize resistance to corrosion, providing you with a maintenance-free boat lift.

There is a BoatFloat® Model for your boat

Our automatic lifts are available in a variety of models to match your boat.

Emergency Use

In the event of a power failure, built-in water valves will operate the BoatFloat both up and down without electricity - no expensive and maintenance-prone solar panels, storage batteries or electrical controls.

FAQ's

How is BoatFloat® built?

The BoatFloat® lift contains two sets of closed-cell foam filled rotomolded float sections which are placed on both sides of the vessel. Each of the sections consists of 4' long float modules that are linked together to create the desired overall length of each section. Both of the float sections are 1.5' or 2' wide and have a non-skid surface to facilitate boarding and full hull maintenance.

A galvanized steel chassis is suspended from the underside of the floats. This chassis, which has been specially treated to prevent damage from corrosion and electrolysis, has PVC and teflon coated aluminum water hydraulic-powered rams attached to it that are connected to a pair of padded bunk boards which rest against the boat's hull.

The hydraulic rams are attached by a hose to a water pump contained within a dock box furnished by BoatFloat®. The water pump (which maintains the water pressure at the prescribed PSI) is, in turn, attached by a garden hose to a dockside water hose bib and to a typical 110-volt 15 amp. electric outlet.

How is a BoatFloat® automatic boatlift operated?

When the "up" button on the included key chain operated remote control transmitter is depressed, electric water valves open which sends water to the simultaneously activated pump. A hose feeds the pressurized water to the rams causing them to extend and raise the bunk boards and the vessel. Typically, the vessel is raised within 2 minutes or less to the height above the waterline to which the unit has been set at the time of assembly.
As the BoatFloat® lift totally floats, that separation between the lowest portion of the vessel, e.g. hull, running gear, etc. and the water remains constant at all times. When the boat is fully up, the built-in mechanical locks can be activated to prevent accidental launching of the vessel.

To lower the vessel, the mechanical lock mechanism is released and the "down" button is depressed on the remote transmitter. The water within the rams is pumped out and discharged into the sea and the boat is lowered and is ready to be driven off the lift within 2 minutes or less.

Can BoatFloat® lifts remain in the water over the winter?

The BoatFloat® lift may be left in the water year-around as the floats, which are filled with foam, will not be crushed by ice and the hydraulic rams are approximately 3' under the surface of the water (which is generally below the line of ice formation).

A boat can be left on the lift, as the mechanical locks will maintain its height above the water line. However, the lift must be drained of water to prevent ice from forming in the BoatFloat® hydraulic cylinders and hoses. This is easily accomplished merely by depressing the "down" button on the transmitter.

How are service and warranty claims handled?

One call to BoatFloat® toll free number, 1-866-Boatfloat, will result in a local mechanic being dispatched to the customer's slip whereupon all parts and labor will be furnished at no charge within the first 2 years after installation.Thereafter, all calls will be handled on a time and materials basis.
